RECOLLECTION

Regula Vogt Guan, the artist behind the pottery was born on February 25th, 1961, in Grenchen, Canton Solothurn, Switzerland. She started pottery as a teenager and had a strong interest for arts, tennis and travel. 
She spent most of her life in Asia, married a Chinese man and is the mother of two daughters. 
She saw herself as an observer and critic and expressed her feelings in her work. She was a strong advocate for women rights, injustice in society,  and was not afraid to break traditional codes. She was thoughtful and full of ideas, always trying new techniques. 
Her tableware were made to express her love for life and the people she loved. 

Her pottery also reflects originality to the contrary of mass production, values she strongly had.

The mission of Recollection is to beat cancer one ceramic at the time. Regula passed away in 2022 after battling 4 years with breast cancer.

The vision is to be an online ceramic store for people seeking originality, thinking out of the box and challenging the status quo.
